A BRIEF STORY

After 14 years of competitive rowing with two international medals, I discovered  triathlon in 2020 during my PhD at Oxford.

I loved spending hours on my bike, exploring the country side and having an outdoor adventure. After retiring from rowing, I had a lot of competitive edge left, coupled with a huge excitement to train and try something new. So I found myself suddenly geeking out about triathlon and winning my first age group races and medalling in the university leagues. Things then moved quite quickly and now, after some major race wins, I race as a professional triathlete over the middle distances, and also race in the German National League.

My approach to triathlon is coined by a desire to build community, a priority on finding joy in the process and nurturing in a healthy work-training balance and inspiring others to have a go at triathlon. These are topics we try and bring across on the podcast Tri with Perspective.
